she called to the men of her house, and spoke to them, saying, *Behold, he has brought in a Hebrew to us to mock us. He came in to me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice.


It happened after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes on Yosef; and she said, *Lie with me.*


Yes, she lies in wait like a robber, and increases the unfaithful among men.


Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.


Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.


lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man's house.


lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;


Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned?


Until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hurries to the snare, and doesn't know that it will cost his life.


and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the women who sew pillows on all elbows, and make kerchiefs for the head of [persons of] every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people, and save souls alive for yourselves?


Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, says the Lord GOD.


But when this, your son, came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.'


It shall happen, that everyone who is left in your house shall come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and shall say, Please put me into one of the Kohanim' offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.
