The couriers went forth in haste by the king's mitzvah, and the decree was given out in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was perplexed.


Mordekhai went out of the presence of the king in royal clothing of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple; and the city of Susa shouted and was glad.


that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.


When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.


When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.


As a roaring lion or a charging bear, so is a wicked ruler over helpless people.


When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.


There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, the sort of error which proceeds from the ruler.


Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in a low place.

When Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Yerushalayim with him.


The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, *The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of his Messiah. He will reign forever and ever!*
