David said to Natan, *I have sinned against the LORD.* Natan said to David, *The LORD also has put away your sin. You will not die.


Avshalom answered Yo'av, Behold, I sent to you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Why am I come from Geshur? it were better for me to be there still. Now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be iniquity in me, let him kill me.


He said, What have they seen in your house? Chizkiyahu answered, All that is in my house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.


When the sky is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you do afflict them:


Now therefore make confession to the LORD, the God of your fathers, and do his pleasure; and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the foreign women.


Shekhanyahu the son of Yechi'el, one of the sons of `Elam, answered Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have married foreign women of the peoples of the land: yet now there is hope for Yisra'el concerning this thing.


The seed of Yisra'el separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.


if like Adam I have covered my transgressions, by hiding my iniquity in my heart,


He sings before men, and says, 'I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn't profit me.


*For has any said to God, 'I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.


Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.


Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.


He who covers an offense promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends.


let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.


Yet you said, I am innocent; surely his anger is turned away from me. Behold, I will enter into judgment with you, because you say, I have not sinned.


Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if there may be a lengthening of your tranquillity.


It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned:


God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn't do it.


but declared first to them of Damascus, at Yerushalayim, and throughout all the country of Yehudah, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.


The children of Yisra'el said to the LORD, We have sinned: do you to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, we pray you, this day.


Shemu'el came to Sha'ul; and Sha'ul said to him, Blessed are you by the LORD: I have performed the mitzvah of the LORD.


Sha'ul said to Shemu'el, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the mitzvah of the LORD, and your words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.


Then he said, I have sinned: yet honor me now, Please, before the elders of my people, and before Yisra'el, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD your God.
