David said to Shlomo his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: don't be afraid, nor be dismayed; for the LORD God, even my God, is with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.


You, Shlomo my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.


Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don't let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.


Turn at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.


The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.


The proverbs of Shlomo. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.


A wise son listens to his father's instruction, but a scoffer doesn't listen to rebuke.


Poverty and shame come to him who refuses discipline, but he who heeds correction shall be honored.


A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.


In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.


Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.


As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.


For the mitzvah is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,


This testimony is true. For this cause, reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,


Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise you.
