Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriyah the Chittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of `Ammon.


Shlomo said, You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you; and you have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.


To this day they do after the former manner: they don't fear the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law or after the mitzvah which the LORD commanded the children of Ya`akov, whom he named Yisra'el;


There was a man in the land of `Utz, whose name was Iyov. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.


I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.


To man he said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.'*


Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in his mitzvot.


Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.


One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his shalom.


The highway of the upright is to depart from evil. He who keeps his way preserves his soul.


By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for. By the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.


Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.


who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths:

This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his mitzvot; for this is the whole duty of man.

So the assemblies throughout all Yehudah and the Galil and Shomron had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
