So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. `Atalyah they had slain with the sword at the king's house.


and she looked, and, behold, the king stood by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets; the singers also [played] on instruments of music, and led the singing of praise. Then `Atalyah tore her clothes, and said, Treason! treason!


So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. `Atalyah they had slain with the sword.


Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.


Miryam answered them, *Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.*


By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.


When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.


When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.


When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.


Then the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for joy over Bavel; for the destroyers shall come to her from the north, says the LORD.


So let all your enemies perish, LORD, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises forth in its strength. The land had rest forty years.
