Proverbs 10:7

To his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a lamp always before me in Yerushalayim, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.


For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.


They buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Yisra'el, and toward God and his house.


Chizkiyahu slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the ascent of the tombs of the sons of David: and all Yehudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim did him honor at his death. Menasheh his son reigned in his place.


His memory shall perish from the earth. He shall have no name in the street.


The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.


Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.


Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.


Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;


For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.


The LORD's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.


The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.


My enemies speak evil against me: *When will he die, and his name perish?*


A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold.


So I saw the wicked buried. Indeed they came also from holiness. They went and were forgotten in the city where they did this. This also is vanity.


*I will rise up against them,* says the LORD of Armies, *and cut off from Bavel name and remnant, and son and son's son,* says the LORD.


LORD, the hope of Yisra'el, all who forsake you shall be disappointed. Those who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living waters.


Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.*


for he has looked at the humble state of his handmaid. For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed.
