I will dwell among the children of Yisra'el, and will not forsake my people Yisra'el.


The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us;


He also rebelled against king Nevukhadnetzar 1, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to the LORD, the God of Yisra'el.


For we are bondservants; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended loving kindness to us in the sight of the kings of Paras, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the ruins of it, and to give us a wall in Yehudah and in Yerushalayim.


Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you did not make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.


They soon forgot his works. They didn't wait for his counsel,


Our fathers didn't understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn't remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Sea of Suf.


But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.


They didn't keep God's covenant, and refused to walk in his law.


They forgot his doings, his wondrous works that he had shown them.


But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn't destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn't stir up all his wrath.


But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.


For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.


The LORD said to Moshe, *I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.


Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention;


For my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to false [gods]; and they have been made to stumble in their ways, in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up;


Thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, Behold, I will bring on this city and on all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it; because they have made their neck stiff, that they may not hear my words.


yet they didn't listen to me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.


She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are round about her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.


To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness; for we have rebelled against him;


Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.


Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God;


The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. The LORD has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.


The LORD said to Moshe, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?


Moshe said, Why now do you disobey the mitzvah of the LORD, seeing it shall not prosper?


Moreover you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? we won't come up.


to whom our fathers wouldn't be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,


For he said to Moshe, *I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.*


See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,


For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people to himself.
