Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Yisra'el, the Kohanim, the Levites, and the temple servants 1.


The temple servants 1: the children of Tzicha, the children of Chasufa, the children of Tabba`ot,


They joined with their brothers, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moshe the servant of God, and to observe and do all the mitzvot of the LORD our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;


Now these are the chiefs of the province who lived in Yerushalayim: but in the cities of Yehudah lived everyone in his possession in their cities, [to wit], Yisra'el, the Kohanim, and the Levites, and the temple servants 1, and the children of Shlomo's servants.


(Now the temple servants 1 lived in `Ofel, to the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.)
