He set himself to seek God in the days of Zekharyah, who had understanding in the vision of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.


But Zerubbavel, and Yeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers' [houses] of Yisra'el, said to them, You have nothing to do with us in building a house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, as king Koresh the king of Paras has commanded us.


It happened, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,


Then the king said to me, For what do you make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.


*All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, know, that whoever, whether man or woman, comes to the king into the inner court without being called, there is one law for him, that he be put to death, except those to whom the king might hold out the golden scepter, that he may live. I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.*


He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.


Pray for the shalom of Yerushalayim. Those who love you will prosper.


We will triumph in your yeshu`ah. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests.


Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, *The LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!*


Do well in your good pleasure to Tziyon. Build the walls of Yerushalayim.


Aharon shall bear the names of the children of Yisra'el in the breastplate of judgment on his heart, when he goes in to the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.


It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don't withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come forth from them all.


To them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.


He shall bring it to Aharon's sons the Kohanim; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the Kohen shall burn the memorial of it on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD.


You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to the LORD.


The crowns shall be to Chelem, and to Toviyah, and to Yedayah, and to Chen the son of Tzefanyah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.


Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your shalom offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.


and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.


He, fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said, *What is it, Lord?* He said to him, *Your prayers and your gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God.


You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart isn't right before God.
