It was told king David, saying, the LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that pertains to him, because of the ark of God. David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom into the city of David with joy.


Shlomo offered for the sacrifice of shalom offerings, which he offered to the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and one hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Yisra'el dedicated the house of the LORD.


David and all Yisra'el played before God with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.


and said to them, You are the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, to [the place] that I have prepared for it.


David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.


Thus all Yisra'el brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.


David gathered together the sons of Aharon, and the Levites:


and with them Heman and Yedutun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Yedutun to be at the gate.


Asaf the chief, and second to him Zekharyah, Ye`i'el, and Shemiramot, and Yechi'el, and Mattityah, and Eli'av, and Benayah, and Obed-Edom, and Ye`i'el, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaf with cymbals, sounding aloud;


and four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, [said David], for giving praise.


Of the Chevroni was Yeriyah the chief, even of the Chevroni, according to their generations by fathers' [houses]. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ya`zer of Gil`ad.


He set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the mitzvah of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Natan the prophet; for the mitzvah was of the LORD by his prophets.


Moreover Chizkiyahu the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaf the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.


it happened, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, [saying], For he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever; that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD,


The Kohanim stood, according to their offices; the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to give thanks to the LORD, (for his loving kindness endures for ever), when David praised by their ministry: and the Kohanim sounded trumpets before them; and all Yisra'el stood.


The children of Yisra'el, the Kohanim, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.


The residue of Yisra'el, of the Kohanim, the Levites, were in all the cities of Yehudah, everyone in his inheritance.


They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Yerushalayim was heard even afar off.


All the assembly of those who were come again out of the captivity made booths, and lived in the booths; for since the days of Yeshua the son of Nun to that day the children of Yisra'el had not done so. There was very great gladness.


Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!


and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.


The officers shall speak to the people, saying, What man is there who has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.


Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice!


Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones.
