But Yehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, with all his heart: he didn't depart from the sins of Yarov`am, with which he made Yisra'el to sin.


The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his mitzvot, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all [his] heart, and all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.


Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Yisra'el, the Kohanim, the Levites, and the temple servants 1.


The king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his mitzvot, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.


Now therefore, LORD, the God of Yisra'el, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Yisra'el, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.


I contended with them, and cursed them, and struck certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, [saying], You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, or for yourselves.

Ezra the Kohen brought the law before the assembly, both men and women, and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.


He read therein before the broad place that was before the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were [attentive] to the scroll of the Torah.


The seed of Yisra'el separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.


Yet for all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, our Levites, [and] our Kohanim, seal to it.


that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise the LORD!


I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances.


LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!


For the LORD will have compassion on Ya`akov, and will yet choose Yisra'el, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Ya`akov.


You shall tell them, Thus says the LORD: If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,


You were now turned, and had done that which is right in my eyes, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor; and you had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:


I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them.


You shall be holy to me: for I, the LORD, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.


*Remember the Torah of Moshe my servant, which I commanded to him in Chorev for all Yisra'el, even statutes and ordinances.


then the Kohen shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the Kohen shall tell the woman, 'The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the LORD allows your thigh to fall away, and your body to swell;


For the Torah was given through Moshe. Grace and truth came through Yeshua the Messiah.


You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.


Didn't Moshe give you the Torah, and yet none of you keeps the Torah? Why do you seek to kill me?*


who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.


But certain men joined with him, and believed, among whom also was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.


Therefore don't yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse neither to eat nor to drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.*


Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.


Moshe commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Ya`akov.


Moshe called to all Yisra'el, and said to them, Hear, Yisra'el, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears this day, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.


You shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you: you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
