Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.


They were helped against them, and the Hagrim were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them, because they put their trust in him.


Thus the children of Yisra'el were brought under at that time, and the children of Yehudah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers.


Does not Chizkiyahu persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, the LORD our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Ashur?


The LORD sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Ashur. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he was come into the house of his god, those who came forth from his own bowels killed him there with the sword.


with him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. The people rested themselves on the words of Chizkiyahu king of Yehudah.


They sang one to another in praising and giving thanks to the LORD, [saying], For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Yisra'el. All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.


For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.


For the LORD is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.


Good and upright is the LORD, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.


For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tent he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.


But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.


The LORD helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him.


Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;


Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.*


But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.


Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.


In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me.


Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.


He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.


The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.


For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.


A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.


Who is among you who fears the LORD, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely on his God.


LORD, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, [even] vanity and things in which there is no profit.


Don't be a terror to me: you are my refuge in the day of evil.


Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el: Like these good figs, so will I regard the captives of Yehudah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Kasdim, for good.


the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; [and of them] who bring [sacrifices of] thanksgiving into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says the LORD.


The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.


Nevukhadnetzar 1 spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrakh, Meshakh, and `Aved-Nego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.


Then was the king exceeding glad, and commanded that they should take Daniyel up out of the den. So Daniyel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.


The LORD will roar from Tziyon, and thunder from Yerushalayim; and the heavens and the earth will shake; but the LORD will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Yisra'el.


But I will leave in the midst of you an afflicted and poor people, and they will take refuge in the name of the LORD.


He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'*


Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'


I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I'm known by my own;


My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.


See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.


But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?


However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, *The Lord knows those who are his,* and, *Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.*
