He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.


The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously.


He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD; he will reward him.


Many men claim to be men of unfailing love, but who can find a faithful man?


Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don't know what evil will be on the earth.


I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me will I give him a charge to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.


Isn't it to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?


Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


*Put the shofar to your lips! Something like an eagle is over the LORD's house, because they have broken my covenant, and rebelled against my law.


You hypocrites! Well did Yeshaiyahu prophesy of you, saying,


In the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can't discern the signs of the times!


But Yeshua perceived their wickedness, and said, *Why do you test me, you hypocrites?


But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their tefillin broad, enlarge the tzitziyot of their garments,


and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,


and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.


For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the Torah, until all things are accomplished.


*Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.


But when you do merciful deeds, don't let your left hand know what your right hand does,


*When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.


You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.


and the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts:


He answered them, *Well did Yeshaiyahu prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.


But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.


Woe to you Perushim! For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces.


Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don't grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn't fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.


You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you don't interpret this time?


Therefore the Lord answered him, *You hypocrites! Doesn't each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Shabbat, and lead him away to water?


*Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;


*But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.


Or how can you tell your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,' when you yourself don't see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye.


For some thought, because Yehudah had the money box, that Yeshua said to him, *Buy what things we need for the feast,* or that he should give something to the poor.


I don't receive glory from men.


How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you don't seek the glory that comes from the only God?


He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.


a devout man, and one who feared God with all his house, who gave gifts for the needy generously to the people, and always prayed to God.


and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.

If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.


They only asked us to remember the poor--which very thing I was also zealous to do.


Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.


nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as emissaries of Messiah.


that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;


For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the holy ones have been refreshed through you, brother.


But don't forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.


If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Yeshua the Messiah, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amein.


Then he said, I have sinned: yet honor me now, Please, before the elders of my people, and before Yisra'el, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD your God.
