The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of She'ol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.


Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.


I have taken off my robe. Indeed, must I put it on? I have washed my feet. Indeed, must I soil them?


Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.


Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.


He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we didn't respect him.


Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.


He said to them, *My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch.*


*Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? 'Father, save me from this time?' But for this cause I came to this time.


He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?


For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, *Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,*


who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.


Because Messiah also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;


But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.
