But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in king's houses.


He won't break a bruised reed. He won't quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory.


The immersion of Yochanan, where was it from? From heaven or from men?* They reasoned with themselves, saying, *If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask us, 'Why then did you not believe him?'


Then people from Yerushalayim, all of Yehudah, and all the region around the Yarden went out to him.


Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.*


Yeshua turned, and saw them following, and said to them, *What are you looking for?* They said to him, *Rabbi* (which is to say, being interpreted, Rabbi), *where are you staying?*


He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.


that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;


But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
