Then Yeshua said to them, *All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'


Yeshua said to them, *Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.


Yeshua said to them, *Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can't fast.


No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.


He said to the talmidim, *The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.


But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.*


For you always have the poor with you, but you don't always have me.*

When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.


When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.


whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.


Don't deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Hasatan doesn't tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
