Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to his name. Worship the LORD in holy array.


There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.


You have not brought me of your sheep for burnt offerings; neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.


In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am the LORD your God.


Then he said to me, *This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land; for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.


You say also, 'Behold, what a weariness it is!' and you have sniffed at it,* says the LORD of Armies; *and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?* says the LORD.


When you offer the blind for sacrifice, isn't that evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, isn't that evil? Present it now to your governor! Will he be pleased with you? Or will he accept your person?* says the LORD of Armies.


They said to him, *Caesar's.* Then he said to them, *Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.*


Yeshua answered them, *Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.* They marveled greatly at him.


He said to them, *Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.*


Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.


You who say a man shouldn't commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?


Yisra'el has sinned; yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: yes, they have even taken of the devoted thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also; and they have even put it among their own stuff.
