The LORD said to her, Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.


The first came out red all over, like a hairy garment. They named him Esav.

Yitzchak trembled violently, and said, *Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.*


and said to me, 'Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.'


Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Yisra'el: because the LORD loved Yisra'el forever, therefore made he you king, to do justice and righteousness.
