I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.


But he spoke all the more, *If I must die with you, I will not deny you.* They all said the same thing.


He said to them the third time, *Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.*


Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.


But they insisted, saying, *He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Yehudah, beginning from the Galil even to this place.*
