I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,


Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will execute judgment on her engraved images; and through all her land the wounded shall groan.


They tell their mothers, Where is grain and wine? When they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, When their soul is poured out into their mothers' bosom.


I will strengthen the arms of the king of Bavel, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break the arms of Par`oh, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.


By chance a certain Kohen was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.


He took the twelve aside, and said to them, *Behold, we are going up to Yerushalayim, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.


Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Yerushalayim.
