Shekhanyahu the son of Yechi'el, one of the sons of `Elam, answered Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have married foreign women of the peoples of the land: yet now there is hope for Yisra'el concerning this thing.


Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.


In the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to kill thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering.


*If anyone sins, and does any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done; though he didn't know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.


He shall bring a ram without blemish from of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the Kohen; and the Kohen shall make atonement for him concerning the thing in which he sinned and didn't know it, and he will be forgiven.


*'If he can't afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.


The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying,


Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me! But you say, 'How have we robbed you?' In tithes and offerings.


They came to the children of Re'uven, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Menasheh, to the land of Gil`ad, and they spoke with them, saying,
