For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.


All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.


*'If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep, or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish.


*Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, 'When anyone of you offers an offering to the LORD, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.


He shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.


Moshe diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned: and he was angry with El`azar and with Itamar, the sons of Aharon who were left, saying,


*'If his offering is a sacrifice of shalom offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.


He presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first.


You shall speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering;


Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenth parts [of an efah] of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil:


For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;


For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
