Ya`akov tore his clothes, and put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days.


David went up by the ascent of the [Mount of] Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered, and went barefoot: and all the people who were with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.


Mordekhai came back to the king's gate, but Haman hurried to his house, mourning and having his head covered.


Then Iyov arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshiped.


It is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aharon's beard; that came down on the edge of his robes;
