You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take spoil for themselves.


Haven't you, God, rejected us? You don't go out with our armies, God.


The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.


When this people, or the prophet, or a Kohen, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? then shall you tell them, What burden! I will cast you off, says the LORD.


Be instructed, Yerushalayim, lest my soul be alienated from you; lest I make you a desolation, a land not inhabited.


Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!


You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously, and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,


Moshe told these words to all the children of Yisra'el: and the people mourned greatly.


Don't go up, for the LORD isn't among you; that you not be struck down before your enemies.


For there the `Amaleki and the Kena`ani are before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you are turned back from following the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.


Then the `Amaleki came down, and the Kena`ani who lived in that mountain, and struck them and beat them down, even to Chormah.


You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and become a devoted thing like it: you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.


But as for you, only keep yourselves from the devoted thing, lest when you have devoted it, you take of the devoted thing; so would you make the camp of Yisra'el accursed, and trouble it.


She said, The Pelishtim are on you, Shimshon. He awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times, and shake myself free. But he didn't know that the LORD had departed from him.


The anger of the LORD was kindled against Yisra'el, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers who despoiled them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.


It happened, when the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the children of Yisra'el, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.


Sha'ul said, Draw near here, all you chiefs of the people; and know and see in which this sin has been this day.
