When Avram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Avram, and said to him, *I am El Shaddai. Walk before me, and be blameless.


Then Ya`akov said to his household, and to all who were with him, *Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, change your garments.


Remember now, LORD, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. Chizkiyahu wept sore.


which you have commanded by your servants the prophets, saying, The land, to which you go to possess it, is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness:


There was a man in the land of `Utz, whose name was Iyov. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.


To man he said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.'*


The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!


Let my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be disappointed.


But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.


I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.


I said to their children in the wilderness, Don't you walk in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.


and they played the prostitute in Egypt; they played the prostitute in their youth; there were their breasts pressed, and there was handled the bosom of their virginity.


Afterward the children of Yisra'el shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.


They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.'


He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?


That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.


So the assemblies throughout all Yehudah and the Galil and Shomron had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.


For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.


Grace be with all those who love our Lord Yeshua the Messiah with incorruptible love. Amein.


Now, Yisra'el, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,


You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.


You shall fear the LORD your God; and him shall you serve, and shall swear by his name.


so that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Messiah;


Yehoshua said to all the people, Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Your fathers lived of old time beyond the River, even Terach, the father of Avraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.


Now therefore put away, [said he], the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD, the God of Yisra'el.


If you will fear the LORD, and serve him, and listen to his voice, and not rebel against the mitzvah of the LORD, and both you and also the king who reigns over you are followers of the LORD your God, [well]:


Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he has done for you.


Shemu'el spoke to all the house of Yisra'el, saying, If you do return to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the `Ashtarot from among you, and direct your hearts to the LORD, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Pelishtim.
