and Cheshbon with its suburbs, and Ya`zer with its suburbs.


With more than the weeping of Ya`zer will I weep for you, vine of Sivmah: your branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Ya`zer: on your summer fruits and on your vintage the destroyer is fallen.


Now the children of Re'uven and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock: and when they saw the land of Ya`zer, and the land of Gil`ad, that behold, the place was a place for livestock;


`Atrot, and Divon, and Ya`zer, and Nimrah, and Cheshbon, and El`aleh, and Sevam, and Nevo 1, and Be`on,

The children of Re'uven built Cheshbon, and El`aleh, and Kiryatayim,


Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Divon, and Bamot-Ba`al, and Beit-Ba`al-Me`on,


and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon king of the Amori, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moshe struck with the chiefs of Midyan, Evi, and Rekem, and Tzur, and Chur, and Reva, the princes of Sichon, who lived in the land.


Their border was Ya`zer, and all the cities of Gil`ad, and half the land of the children of `Ammon, to `Aro`er that is before Rabbah;


Out of the tribe of Gad, Ramot in Gil`ad with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Machanayim with its suburbs,


All [these were] the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
