David went and took the bones of Sha'ul and the bones of Yonatan his son from the men of Yavesh-Gil`ad, who had stolen them from the street of Beit-Shean, where the Pelishtim had hanged them, in the day that the Pelishtim killed Sha'ul in Gilboa;


This is the reason of the levy which king Shlomo raised, to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Yerushalayim, and Chatzor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.


But when Achazyah the king of Yehudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. Yehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot: [and they struck him] at the ascent of Gur, which is by Yivle`am. He fled to Megiddo, and died there.


and out of the half-tribe of Menasheh, `Aner with its suburbs, and Bil`am with its suburbs, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kehat.

The children of Yosef said, The hill country is not enough for us: and all the Kena`anim who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are in Beit-Shean and its towns, and they who are in the valley of Yizre`el.


Menasheh did not drive out [the inhabitants of] Beit-Shean and its towns, nor [of] Ta`nakh and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Yivle`am and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Kena`anim would dwell in that land.


The kings came and fought, then the kings of Kena`an fought at Ta`nakh by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.


Then said Sha'ul to his servants, Seek me a woman who has a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. His servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman who has a familiar spirit at `En-Dor.


They put his armor in the house of the `Ashtarot; and they fastened his body to the wall of Beit-Shean.


all the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Sha'ul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beit-Shean; and they came to Yavesh, and burnt them there.
