This is Yochanan's testimony, when the Judeans sent priests and Levites from Yerushalayim to ask him, *Who are you?*


Therefore a division arose again among the Judeans because of these words.


Nakdimon said to him, *How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?*


Nakdimon answered him, *How can these things be?*


The woman said to him, *Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where then have you that living water?


The Judeans therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, *I am the bread which came down out of heaven.*


Therefore many of his talmidim, when they heard this, said, *This is a hard saying! Who can listen to it?*


Some therefore of the Perushim said, *This man is not from God, because he doesn't keep the Shabbat.* Others said, *How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?* There was division among them.


Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, *We want to hear you again concerning this.*


Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
