Ach'av said to `Ovadyah 1, Go through the land, to all the springs of water, and to all the brooks: peradventure we may find grass and save the horses and mules alive, that we not lose all the animals.


Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?


The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.


The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.


He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.


Because of the ground which is cracked, because no rain has been in the land, the plowmen are disappointed, they cover their heads.


The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.


How the animals groan! The herds of livestock are perplexed, because they have no pasture. Yes, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
