He said, Go forth, and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:


*Should a wise man answer with vain knowledge, and fill himself with the east wind?


Shall vain words have an end? Or what provokes you that you answer?


*How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.


Do you intend to reprove words, seeing that the speeches of one who is desperate are as wind?


even that it would please God to crush me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!


*Therefore I will not keep silent. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.


Then Bildad the Shuchite answered,


Moshe and Aharon went in to Par`oh, and said to him, *This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.


Par`oh's servants said to him, *How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD, their God. Don't you yet know that Egypt is destroyed?*


*How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?


and the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done to them.
