Avraham prayed to God. God healed Avimelekh, and his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.


Now when Iyov's three friends heard of all this evil that had come on him, they each came from his own place: Elifaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuchite, and Tzofar the Na`amatite, and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.


You shall make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You shall pay your vows.


He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.*


The LORD turned the captivity of Iyov, when he prayed for his friends. The LORD gave Iyov twice as much as he had before.


Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Iyov, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Iyov shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Iyov has.*


Go your way--eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.


The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you The city of the LORD, The Tziyon of the Holy One of Yisra'el.


though these three men, Noach, Daniyel, and Iyov, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, says the Lord GOD.


*Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.


His mother said to the servants, *Whatever he says to you, do it.*


Therefore I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by God.*


But rise up, and enter into the city, and you will be told what you must do.*


By faith, Avraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.
