The LORD rejected all the seed of Yisra'el, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.


until the LORD removed Yisra'el out of his sight, as he spoke by all his servants the prophets. So Yisra'el was carried away out of their own land to Ashur to this day.


The LORD said, I will remove Yehudah also out of my sight, as I have removed Yisra'el, and I will cast off this city which I have chosen, even Yerushalayim, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.


The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for the LORD has spoken this word.


For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.


Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Ya`akov a curse, and Yisra'el a reviling.*


The cities of the South are shut up, and there is none to open them: Yehudah is carried away captive, all of it; it is wholly carried away captive.


For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it; and I will give all Yehudah into the hand of the king of Bavel, and he shall carry them captive to Bavel, and shall kill them with the sword.


Afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, and his servants, and the people, even such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.


But Nevuzar'adan 1 the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, who had nothing, in the land of Yehudah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.


Then Nevuzar'adan 1 the captain of the guard carried away captive into Bavel the residue of the people who remained in the city, the deserters also who fell away to him, and the residue of the people who remained.


Then they took the king, and carried him up to the king of Bavel to Rivlah in the land of Chamat; and he gave judgment on him.


I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Yisra'el shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.


Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, daughter of Tziyon, like a woman in travail; yor now you will go forth out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Bavel. There you will be rescued. There the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.


The LORD will bring you, and your king whom you shall set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.


The LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth; and there you shall serve other gods, which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.


I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over the Yarden to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
