Gird your sword on your thigh, mighty one: your splendor and your majesty.


Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king's enemies.


Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.


Shout against her round about: she has submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down; for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.


You are my battle axe and weapons of war: and with you will I break in pieces the nations; and with you will I destroy kingdoms;


Behold, I am against you, destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroys all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand on you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.


For the LORD lays Bavel waste, and destroys out of her the great voice; and their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is uttered:


Does the shofar alarm sound in a city, without the people being afraid? Does evil happen to a city, and the LORD hasn't done it?


Therefore in one day her plagues will come: death, mourning, and famine; and she will be utterly burned with fire; for the Lord God who has judged her is strong.
