I said, *Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.


For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Mo'av be at the fords of the Arnon.


so that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore is your land become a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.


You daughter who dwell in Egypt, furnish yourself to go into captivity; for Mof shall become a desolation, and shall be burnt up, without inhabitant.


You inhabitants of Mo'av, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock; and be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.


Therefore as I live, says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, surely Mo'av will be as Sedom, and the children of `Ammon as `Amorah, a possession of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.
