and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Yo'el, who lived in `Aro`er, even to Nevo 1 and Ba`al-Me`on:


The children of Gad built Divon, and `Atrot, and `Aro`er,


From `Aro`er, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and [from] the city that is in the valley, even to Gil`ad, there was not a city too high for us; the LORD our God delivered up all before us:


Sichon king of the Amori, who lived in Cheshbon, and ruled from `Aro`er, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and [the city that is in] the middle of the valley, and half Gil`ad, even to the river Yabbok, the border of the children of `Ammon;


While Yisra'el lived in Cheshbon and its towns, and in `Aro`er and its towns, and in all the cities that are along by the side of the Arnon, three hundred years; why didn't you recover them within that time?
