For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, which struck him; and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, [therefore] will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Yisra'el.


When we burned incense to the queen of the sky, and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her, without our husbands?


The incense that you burned in the cities of Yehudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, didn't the LORD remember them, and didn't it come into his mind?


He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Yisra'el, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.


You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.


What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
