But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sedom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter.


Did not Shlomo king of Yisra'el sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, and he was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Yisra'el: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.


Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous will be delivered.


Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Moreover Yirmeyahu said to all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Yehudah who are in the land of Egypt:


and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Patros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom.


I will make Patros desolate, and will set a fire in Tzo`an, and will execute judgments on No.
