He burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, even every great house, burnt he with fire.


They burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Yerushalayim, and burnt all the palaces of it with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.


So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, everyone on the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the broad place of the water gate, and in the broad place of the gate of Efrayim.


The burden of the valley of vision. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?


For the LORD of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Yisra'el and of the house of Yehudah, which they have worked for themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Ba`al.


But if you will not listen to me to make the day of Shabbat holy, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Yerushalayim on the day of Shabbat; then will I kindle a fire in the gates of it, and it shall devour the palaces of Yerushalayim, and it shall not be quenched.


and the houses of Yerushalayim, and the houses of the kings of Yehudah, which are defiled, shall be as the place of Tofet, even all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the army of the sky, and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.


For I have set my face on this city for evil, and not for good, says the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Bavel, and he shall burn it with fire.


All your lovers have forgotten you; they don't seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

The Kasdim burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Yerushalayim.


Thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, saying, You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and with your hands have fulfilled it, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her: establish then your vows, and perform your vows.


Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nevukhadnetzar 1, king of Bavel, came Nevuzar'adan 1 the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Bavel, into Yerushalayim:


and he burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, even every great house, burned he with fire.


Don't you see what they do in the cities of Yehudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim?


The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.


The LORD has accomplished his wrath, he has poured out his fierce anger; He has kindled a fire in Tziyon, which has devoured the foundations of it.


The company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.


When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.


Now on the next day as they were on their journey, and got close to the city, Kefa went up on the housetop to pray at about noon.


For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn't all those who came out of Egypt by Moshe?
