The LORD smelled the sweet savor. The LORD said in his heart, *I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike everything living, as I have done.


Moreover concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Yisra'el, when he shall come out of a far country for your name's sake


He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.


and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that didn't make their hearts loyal, whose spirit was not steadfast with God.


Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.


Yes, in the way of your judgments, the LORD, have we waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.


Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, to minister to him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Shabbat from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant;


So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of the LORD drives.


In the year that king `Uzziyah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.


Thus says the LORD, heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will you build to me? and what place shall be my rest?


For I [know] their works and their thoughts: [the time] comes, that I will gather all nations and languages; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.


They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Yerushalayim, says the LORD, as the children of Yisra'el bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.


Yet they didn't obey, nor turn their ear, but walked everyone in the stubbornness of their evil heart: therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn't do them.


It shall happen, after that I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them; and I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.


It shall happen, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, As the LORD lives; even as they taught my people to swear by Ba`al; then shall they be built up in the midst of my people.


Do not abhor [us], for your name's sake; do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, don't break your covenant with us.


and you have done evil more than your fathers; for, behold, you walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don't listen to me:


LORD, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, [even] vanity and things in which there is no profit.


A glorious throne, [set] on high from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.


But they say, It is in vain; for we will walk after our own devices, and we will do everyone after the stubbornness of his evil heart.


But I said, How I will put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations! and I said, You shall call me My Father, and shall not turn away from following me.


Thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Yehudah and in the cities of it, when I shall bring again their captivity: the LORD bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.


[This city] shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the shalom that I procure to it.


and you shall swear, As the LORD lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.


But they didn't listen nor turn their ear, but walked in [their own] counsels [and] in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.


but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Ba`alim, which their fathers taught them;


Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sappir stone; and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.


He said to me, Son of man, [this is] the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Yisra'el forever. The house of Yisra'el shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their prostitution, and by the dead bodies of their kings [in] their high places;


It shall be eighteen thousand [reeds] round about: and the name of the city from that day shall be, the LORD is there.


Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you.


and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.*


and it shall be to you for a tzitzit, that you may look on it, and remember all the mitzvot of the LORD, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute;


Because, knowing God, they didn't glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.


For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.


But the Yerushalayim that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.


The secret things belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.


But it happened, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them; they didn't cease from their doings, nor from their stubborn way.
