But whoever listens to me will dwell securely, and will be at ease, without fear of harm.*


You, even of yourself, shall discontinue from your heritage that I gave you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you don't know: for you have kindled a fire in my anger which shall burn forever.


He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he who goes out, and passes over to the Kasdim who besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be to him for a prey.


It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Bavel, that nation will I punish, says the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.


It happened the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Chananyah the son of Azur, the prophet, who was of Giv`on, spoke to me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the Kohanim and of all the people, saying,


Thus speaks the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Bavel.


Then said Yirmeyahu to Tzidkiyahu, Thus says the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot, the God of Yisra'el: If you will go forth to the king of Bavel's princes, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and you shall live, and your house.


Don't be afraid of the king of Bavel, of whom you are afraid; don't be afraid of him, says the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
