At the return of the year king Nevukhadnetzar 1 sent, and brought him to Bavel, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Tzidkiyahu his brother king over Yehudah and Yerushalayim.


You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.*


Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Tziyon and on Yerushalayim, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Ashur, and the insolence of his haughty looks.


For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.


He will break it as a potter's vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there won't be found among the broken piece a piece good enough to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.*


Woe to you who destroy, but you weren't destroyed; and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have made an end of betrayal, you will be betrayed.

All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.


But I said, How I will put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations! and I said, You shall call me My Father, and shall not turn away from following me.


Make you him drunken; for he magnified himself against the LORD: and Mo'av shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.


On all the housetops of Mo'av and in the streets of it there is lamentation every where; for I have broken Mo'av like a vessel in which none delights, says the LORD.


Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.


Daughter of my people, gird you with sackcloth, and wallow yourself in ashes: make you mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the destroyer shall suddenly come on us.

My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats; For the LORD of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Yehudah, and will make them as his horse in the battle that he is proud of.


A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! For their glory is destroyed: a voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Yarden is ruined.


You have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
