7 Afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, and his servants, and the people, even such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.


I was angry with my people, I profaned my inheritance, and gave them into your hand: you did show them no mercy; on the aged have you very heavily laid your yoke.


I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.


When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and meal offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.


For who will have pity on you, Yerushalayim? or who will bemoan you? or who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?


She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.


I will make void the counsel of Yehudah and Yerushalayim in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life: and their dead bodies will I give to be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth.


For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it; and I will give all Yehudah into the hand of the king of Bavel, and he shall carry them captive to Bavel, and shall kill them with the sword.


and I will give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of the Kasdim.


Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 the king of Bavel, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him.


and Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah shall not escape out of the hand of the Kasdim, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Bavel, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes;


and you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and your eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Bavel, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Bavel.


Concerning Yehoiakim king of Yehudah you shall say, Thus says the LORD: You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written therein, saying, The king of Bavel shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from there man and animal?


Then Tzidkiyahu the king sent, and fetched him: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? Yirmeyahu said, There is. He said also, You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Bavel.


Yisra'el is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Ashur devoured him; and now at last Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel has broken his bones.


Look, LORD, and see to whom you have done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the Kohen and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?


You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side; There was none that escaped or remained in the day of the LORD's anger: Those that I have dandled and brought up has my enemy consumed.


For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated;


My eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring on you according to your ways; and your abominations shall be in the midst of you; and you shall know that I, the LORD, do strike.


Therefore will I also deal in wrath; my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.


As for me also, my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.
