The LORD's sword is filled with blood. It is covered with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD has a sacrifice in Botzrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.


There is no shalom, says my God, to the wicked.


It shall happen, when they tell you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.


For thus says the LORD, Don't enter into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away my shalom from this people, says the LORD, even loving kindness and tender mercies.


This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Bavel seventy years.


Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see; where have you not been lain with? By the ways have you sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness.


A voice is heard on the bare heights, the weeping [and] the petitions of the children of Yisra'el; because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the LORD their God.


For thus says the LORD: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of shalom.


Therefore thus says the LORD: you have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim to you a liberty, says the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.


For thus says the LORD, The whole land shall be a desolation; yet will I not make a full end.


For that day is [a day] of the Lord, the LORD of Armies, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, the LORD of Armies, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Perat.


You sword of the LORD, how long will it be before you be quiet? put up yourself into your scabbard; rest, and be still.


The praise of Mo'av is no more; in Cheshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation. You also, Madmen, shall be brought to silence: the sword shall pursue you.


We looked for shalom, but no good came; [and] for a time of healing, and behold, dismay!


You have removed my soul far off from shalom; I forgot prosperity.


Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off from it man and animal;


You, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the children of `Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say you, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;


Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:


The word of the LORD came to me, saying,


Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD: Say, A sword, a sword, it is sharpened, and also furbished;


A third part shall you burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a third part, and strike with the sword round about it; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.


I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.


Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good.


You Kushi also, you will be killed by my sword.


I will make my arrows drunk with blood. My sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.


Another came forth, a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.
