Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekach the son of Remalyahu, and struck him, and killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Yotam the son of `Uzziyah.


They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


The envy also of Efrayim will depart, and those who persecute Yehudah will be cut off. Efrayim won't envy Yehudah, and Yehudah won't persecute Efrayim.


Therefore the LORD's anger burns against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is still stretched out.


They will pass through it, sore distressed and hungry; and it will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse by their king and by their God. They will turn their faces upward,


The Syrians in front, and the Pelishtim behind; and they will devour Yisra'el with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
