Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.


Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Don't let the sin of his mother be blotted out.


You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that the 'I AM' was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.


Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.


You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book?


Pay back to our neighbors seven times into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.


The LORD said to Moshe, *Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Yehoshua: that I will utterly blot out the memory of `Amalek from under the sky.*


For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.


Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them; for the deeds of his hands will be paid back to him.


*I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.


According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.


Will you refrain yourself for these things, LORD? will you hold your shalom, and afflict us very sore?


A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that renders recompense to his enemies.


First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.


But as for them whose heart walks after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way on their own heads, says the Lord GOD.


Therefore have I poured out my indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I brought on their heads, says the Lord GOD.


As for me also, my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.


*Yes, and what are you to me, Tzor, and Tzidon, and all the regions of Peleshet? Will you repay me? And if you repay me, I will swiftly and speedily return your repayment on your own head.


Then those who feared the LORD spoke one with another; and the LORD listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared the LORD, and who honored his name.


Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.*


Isn't this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?


I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
