The king turned his face about, and blessed all the assembly of Yisra'el: and all the assembly of Yisra'el stood.


Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to his people Yisra'el, according to all that he promised: there has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moshe his servant.


He burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, even every great house, burnt he with fire.


They burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Yerushalayim, and burnt all the palaces of it with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.


He said, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,


All the children of Yisra'el looked on, when the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD was on the house; and they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to the LORD, [saying], For he is good; for his loving kindness endures for ever.


The Kohanim stood, according to their offices; the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to give thanks to the LORD, (for his loving kindness endures for ever), when David praised by their ministry: and the Kohanim sounded trumpets before them; and all Yisra'el stood.


Your holy people possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary.


and he burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, even every great house, burned he with fire.


Yerushalayim remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and none did help her, The adversaries saw her, they did mock at her desolations.


How has the Lord covered the daughter of Tziyon with a cloud in his anger! He has cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty of Yisra'el, And hasn't remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.


The Lord has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary; He has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: They have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn assembly.


Speak to the house of Yisra'el, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind shall fall by the sword.


You, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart, their sons and their daughters,


Then the angel of the LORD replied, *O LORD of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Yerushalayim and on the cities of Yehudah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?*


But he answered them, *Don't you see all of these things? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.*


[and that] the whole land of it is sulfur, and salt, [and] a burning, [that] it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows therein, like the overthrow of Sedom and `Amorah, Admah and Tzevoyim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
