Bela died, and Yovav, the son of Zerach of Botzrah, reigned in his place.


Binding his foal to the vine, his donkey's colt to the choice vine; he has washed his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.


Bela died, and Yovav the son of Zerach of Botzrah reigned in his place.


Through God, we will do valiantly. For it is he who will tread down our enemies.


Remember, LORD, against the children of Edom, the day of Yerushalayim; who said, *Raze it! Raze it even to its foundation!*


Who by his power forms the mountains, having armed yourself with strength;


Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all spices of the merchant?


Who is she who looks forth as the morning, beautiful as the moon, clear as the sun, and awesome as an army with banners?


Who is this who comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? Under the apple tree I aroused you. There your mother conceived you. There she was in labor and bore you.


They will fly down on the shoulders of the Pelishtim on the west. Together they will plunder the children of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Mo'av, and the children of `Ammon will obey them.


Come near, you nations, to hear! Listen, you peoples. Let the earth and all it contains hear; the world, and everything that comes from it.


*Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delights-- I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.


He won't break a bruised reed. He won't quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.


I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness; I didn't say to the seed of Ya`akov, Seek you me in vain: I, the LORD, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.


By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.


For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.


Of the increase of his government and of shalom there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will perform this.


and on Keriyot, and on Botzrah, and on all the cities of the land of Mo'av, far or near.


For I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, that Botzrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities of it shall be perpetual wastes.


Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Yehudah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them;


Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,


Thus says the Lord GOD: Are you he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Yisra'el, who prophesied in those days for [many] years that I would bring you against them?


The vision of `Ovadyah This is what the Lord GOD says about Edom. We have heard news from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, *Arise, and let's rise up against her in battle.


Your mighty men, Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esav by slaughter.


The LORD, your God, is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.


*I have loved you,* says the LORD. Yet you say, *How have you loved us?* *Wasn't Esav Ya`akov's brother?* says the LORD, *Yet I loved Ya`akov;


God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?


When he had come into Yerushalayim, all the city was stirred up, saying, *Who is this?*


Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.


who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.


He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called *The Word of God.*
