I will meditate on your precepts, and consider your ways.


You are near, LORD. All your mitzvot are truth.


They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I didn't forsake your precepts.


The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.


But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed.


Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, a seed of evil-doers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD. They have despised the Holy One of Yisra'el. They are estranged and backward.


The Lord said, *Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a mitzvah of men which has been taught;


You see many things, but don't observe. His ears are open, but he doesn't listen.


I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they shall not profit you.


But draw near here, you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the prostitute.

*Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? It is darkness, and not light.
