But Yehoshafat said, Isn't there here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we may inquire of him?


The king of Ashur found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Ashur, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Ashur shut him up, and bound him in prison.


Now, behold, you trust on the staff of this bruised reed, even on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Par`oh king of Egypt to all who trust on him.


Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don't betray the fugitive!


Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Kush;


Behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised reed, even in Egypt, which if a man leans on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Par`oh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.


How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put your trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?


When they tell you, *Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter:* shouldn't a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?


Now what have you to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shichor? or what have you to do in the way to Ashur, to drink the waters of the River?

For they have gone up to Ashur, like a wild donkey wandering alone. Efrayim has hired lovers for himself.


He shall stand before El`azar the Kohen, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Yisra'el with him, even all the congregation.


The LORD will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to you, You shall see it no more again: and there you shall sell yourselves to your enemies for bondservants and for bondmaids, and no man shall buy you.


The men took of their provision, and didn't ask counsel at the mouth of the LORD.


The bramble said to the trees, If in truth you anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Levanon.
